We’re preparing small-group food walks in Playa del Carmen and looking for a friendly local guide. If you love a good taco, know the neighborhood and enjoy sharing it in English and Spanish, we’d like to hear from you.

A good walk starts with a warm welcome.

Help a small group feel at home around the food you know. This is a project in preparation; routes and practical details will be discussed before the first tour.

  • Lead a relaxed food walk and keep the group together.
  • Help guests understand the menu, choose food and place their orders.
  • Share simple stories about dishes, ingredients and life in Playa.
  • Communicate clearly in English with visitors and in Spanish with local vendors.

You might be a good fit if…

  • You know local food spots in Playa del Carmen and can explain what makes them special.
  • You feel comfortable chatting with guests in English and Spanish.
  • You are reliable, welcoming and enjoy walking with people.
  • You can tell us about relevant experience: guiding, hospitality, food or another people-facing role.

This is a freelance opportunity, paid per tour. Tell us your proposed fee in MXN or USD; the rate will be agreed before any tour. We are preparing the project, so there is no guaranteed number of bookings. Share the days and times that work for you.
