ART / PHOTO JOURNAL · OCTOBER 31, 2026
An evening in Playa.
Remembering. Walking. Eating.
Our October 31, 2026 photo journal from Playa del Carmen: decorated cemetery niches, Catrinas, Fifth Avenue costumes and a Sabor Jarocho market food stop.
01 / DÍA DE MUERTOS
The cemetery is coming to life with colour.
On October 31, we found flowers, papel picado, Catrinas and people decorating the cemetery. These ten photographs record the preparations and our visit that evening. They do not establish the cemetery’s opening hours or a ceremony timetable.
It is a place of remembrance: give families room and ask before photographing people at graves.

02 / QUINTA AVENIDA
Our little Halloween walk.
Then our short walk along Fifth Avenue: dinosaur costumes, an evening crowd and a group photo. These are moments from our October 31 walk, separate from the municipal parades listed in the event guide.
03 / PLAZA 28 DE JULIO
A food stop at Sabor Jarocho.
The black-and-pink menu lists doradas de papa, enmoladas and stuffed potatoes. Our separate page has all eight stall photos, the photographed prices and the location pin.
