Check holiday opening hours
Contact the place before setting off. A normal-hours listing cannot confirm Christmas service. Doña Mary and Cochinita Don Dany are closed Mondays in our guide.
Keep resort access separate
A dining reservation or an activity marked “no reservation required” does not by itself confirm entry for non-residents. Arrange transport separately.

Christmas in Playa: the practical questions.
When is Navidad Mágica 2026?
Let’s Playa lists December 15, 2026 to January 7, 2027. Its event index names Plaza 28 de Julio. The daily timetable and detailed activities have not yet been verified.
Is there a confirmed New Year’s Eve party?
Fairmont Mayakoba lists a beachfront dinner and celebration at Maykana on December 31, with dinner from 20:00 and a reservation required. The MXN price, fees and outside-guest admission still need confirmation. A city fireworks or public party programme has not been verified.
Can I visit a resort event without staying there?
Check directly with the resort. This guide does not assume day-pass or outside-guest access, even when the activity itself needs no reservation.
Where can I eat on Christmas Day?
Use our reviews to choose a place, then confirm December 25 service directly. Recorded menu prices and normal opening hours are not a verified Christmas offer.
Can I book the PLAYA FOOD tour over the holidays?
Our tour is still in development and bookings are not open yet. We are planning a 29 USD guide-only option and a 59 USD all-inclusive option. The route, final inclusions and holiday departure dates will be confirmed on our tour page before bookings open.
Are these photographs from Christmas?
No. They are Art’s original food photographs from the linked reviews. We do not present them as photographs of holiday events.
